The end of an era

Sadly my Mum passed away early this morning in New Zealand. I have just returned to Sydney after being with her for a couple of weeks due to her failing health.
I’m so grateful that I took the time over the past few years to obtain as much family history from Mum as she could remember. There were many unknowns about individuals and as she pointed out that these things were never discussed in her day – don’t know why?
Life continues but some gaps are never filled, especially when it comes to your parents. Today and many days ahead will be filled with memories, tissues and reflection.
